Heidi Diamond New York Death, Obituary

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Heidi Diamond. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her — personally, professionally, and philanthropically. Throughout a remarkable career that spanned journalism, media, venture investing, and education, Heidi lived with purpose, grace, and an unyielding dedication to excellence.

Beginning with her academic journey in Journalism at Boston University and University of Maryland, College Park, and later earning an MBA in International Business from American University, Heidi combined intellectual curiosity with a global perspective. Her earliest professional steps reflected this blend — from meaningful work at Nanhi Kali as a project manager to roles at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where she demonstrated creative vision and leadership.

Over time, Heidi’s talents led her to senior executive positions in media: as Executive Vice President at Scripps Networks / Food Network, Vice President at Americast/Ameritech, and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Promotions at K111/KKR. She guided broadcast strategy at Cablevision/AMC Networks/Rainbow Media and later served as Executive Vice President at GSN. Her tenure as President of Broadcast at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia showcased her ability to lead with integrity and vision, driving growth while nurturing creative talent.

Later in her career, Heidi channeled her experience into entrepreneurship and mentorship. As CEO of Diamond Enterprises and Future Value, she was a trailblazer in angel investing, venture partnerships, licensing, and distribution — bringing new ideas to life and helping emerging ventures gain footholds. Colleagues remember her as a thoughtful, strategic leader who treated every project and person with respect, kindness, and unwavering optimism.

Beyond the boardroom, Heidi was a beloved adjunct professor at LIM College, sharing her knowledge with eager students, guiding young minds aspiring to build careers in media and business. She believed in the power of education and mentorship, always ready to offer wisdom, encouragement, and support.

In all these roles — whether executive, investor, teacher, or mentor — Heidi radiated warmth, compassion, and a generous spirit. She lived in New York but carried with her the values and warmth of her roots in Silver Spring, Maryland, always grounded, humble, and gracious.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate a life lived fully — a life that touched countless others, built bridges, launched dreams, and opened doors. Her legacy is not only in the companies she helped grow, the ventures she backed, or the students she inspired, but in the kindness, generosity, and integrity she brought to every endeavor.

Rest in peace, Heidi Diamond. Your vision, your leadership, and most of all, your heart, will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to know you.
